Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya’s ‘Dune: Part 2’ Earns $81.5 Million at the Box Office

The numbers are in and it’s looking good for Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya at the box office… as the ‘Dune’ sequel raked in big bucks.

The domestic box office total for “Dune: Part Two” is $81.5 million for its opening weekend… a very strong figure.

Remember … the film was estimated to make between $76 million and $80 million … so ‘Dune 2’ is doing better so far.

The sci-fi movie’s predecessor earned $41 million in its opening weekend in 2021, so the sequel nearly doubled that figure.

Internationally, “Dune: Part 2” is also doing very well… taking in another $97 million to bring the global pot to $178 million. not bad.

A solid opening weekend follows some excitement for ‘Dune 2’… people were looking forward to seeing new stars like Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walker and Léa Seydoux join the mix… just to name a few.

Timothée, Zendaya and the rest of the star-studded cast did a great job promoting and building excitement for the film… who can forget Zendaya’s revealing chrome bodysuit at the London premiere.

And those special ‘Dune 2’ popcorn buckets didn’t hurt either!!! 😂
