Several local police units and U.S. Marshals conducted a response at Ranken Technical College on North Finney Avenue in St. Louis Wednesday morning.

There were very few details available about what prompted the response. A spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said they were not aware of any victims and that it was being investigated as a shooting incident. When contacted by phone around 11:30 a.m., Ranken Public Safety said they could not comment on the situation.

Photographers on the scene first spotted U.S. Marshals with long guns and vests that read “Fugitive Task Force,” and students said that both the school and housing hall were on lockdown.

A photographer on the scene captured police with their guns drawn entering a building. There has been no report of injuries.
