Kyle Richards doesn’t like the unwanted attention her husband Mauricio Umansky gets on Instagram.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle, who is 54, said that she and Mauricio, who is 53, have fought about the messages he gets from other women on the social media site while playing a revealing card game at Annemarie Wiley’s birthday party.
The topic came up after Sutton Stracke drew a card that asked, “What is appropriate for husbands when it comes to communicating with other women on social media?”Kyle answered with one word: “Murder.”
“I’ve had, like, a fight with Mo over that. I hate that,” she said. “Liking people’s photos, following people — you don’t do that.
The actress explained more about her issues with Mauricio’s behavior on Instagram in a chat with cameras.
“Mo gets a lot of DMs from women,” she said. “They don’t care that he’s married, and they’re always the aggressor. And it just makes you realize there’s really a lot of f—ing assholes out there.”
Kyle continued to say that there were more things that were not okay on social media besides messaging other women.
“But also, you don’t have to follow every single person and like all their photos,” she said. “I don’t like that at all.”
The marriage of Kyle and Mauricio has not been easy. In July 2022,usnewsdaily reported that they had split up after 27 years of being together. Just a few hours later, the duo broke their silence and acknowledged they had faced the “most challenging” year in their marriage.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue,” Richards shared on her Instagram. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
Even with their problems, Mauricio has said that he and Kyle were trying to fix their marriage and did not want to divorce.
“We’ve been married for 27 years. We’re having a bit of a rough patch,” he told usnewsdaily in October 2023, adding that “sometimes life throws you different things” and “you’ve gotta work through it.”
The Agency founder said he chose not to watch this season of RHOBH because he did not want to see how they “dramatization” his marriage.
“You’ve also got to try and articulate it just a little bit calmer and a little bit less irritated by it,” he said on the The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show podcast the next month. ““There’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t really want to see because it will just create more noise for me and more opinions.”
“People that watch that show are all opinionated and they just don’t realize it. There are two humans on the other side of your opinion. That’s really, really difficult,” he said.
