During her stop on the GUTS World Tour in St. Louis, Olivia Rodrigo offered free condoms and morning-after pills. Through her new initiative Fund 4 Good, a portion of gross ticket sales from her tour will go towards abortion funds across the country.

The Grammy-winning musician will collaborate with regional chapters of the National Network of Abortion Funds through her fund, which she established in conjunction with the tour. Their joint goal, according to its page on the Entertainment Industry Foundation website, is to “ensure those most impacted by systemic racism, misogyny, and healthcare barriers can get the reproductive care they deserve.”

At their St. Louis stop on Tuesday, Olivia worked with the Missouri Abortion Fund to get Julie the morning-after pills. The brand filed in September 2022 in Roe v. Launched after Wade was overturned and designed to change the conversation about emergency contraception, expanding access to communities that need it most.

Julie shared a statement after the show, writing, We launched Julie to rewrite the morning-after experience for a new generation. Replacing the stigma and shame often associated with emergency contraception with access, exploration and education is core to who we are, and we’re thankful for artists like Olivia Rodrigo and initiatives like the Missouri Abortion Fund who share our mission.”

A fan who attended the St. Louis tour stop posted a picture of two emergency contraception pill boxes on social media. Above them rested a square, purple placard that said, “Funding abortions? You think it’s a good idea? Apparently a reference to the song “bad idea right?” by Rodrigo.

The singer-songwriter sets up National Network of Abortion Funds booths at every event she does, in addition to giving away contraception.

When the Fund 4 Good launched, Oriaku Njoku, executive director of the National Network of Abortion Funds, told USA TODAY that “Supporting abortion funds has never been more critical, in an era where abortion access is under relentless attack. We are excited to be in partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, as she’s uplifting the critical work of abortion funds, and leading (her fans) into the movement towards reproductive freedom!”

This is not the first time that OR has spoken about women’s rights.

During OR performance at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. The day after Wade was overturned, the Grammy winner and Lily Allen dedicated the latter’s song, “Fuck You,” to the Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn it.

Rodrigo declared at the time, “I’m devastated and terrified that so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this. I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a shit about freedom.”

She continued, “This song goes out to the justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you.”
