Lil Jon said to outlet “they all wanted JB in the show but all the rehearsals, responsibility, time, and eyeballs on him apparently wasn’t something he wanted to tackle right now and as we all saw Sunday, he opted to chill in the audience with his wife Hailey.”

“Of course, fans were bummed he didn’t say yeah to Usher.”

During Usher’s 13-minute performance, the stage was graced by a star-studded ensemble. Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Ludacris, and will.i.am all made surprise appearances alongside Lil Jon. So, even though Justin wasn’t part of the onstage crew, Lil Jon assured everyone that he was still in Usher’s corner, showing his support.

Let’s dive into the backstory: Usher played a pivotal role in launching the young, wide-eyed 13-year-old Bieber into the stratosphere of massive fame. Since then, Usher has been burning the midnight oil, tirelessly honing his craft. It seems he’s currently in need of a well-deserved break from the spotlight.

Everything is well, Jon isn’t high, and it seems like Usher wasn’t either.
