During a conversation with Bustle, the founder of SKIMS was questioned about the recent trend of young girls, known as Sephora tweens, purchasing high-end skincare products. She was asked if this trend had influenced her daughters, North and Chicago.
“My littlest one’s too little [to wear makeup] and I don’t let her,” the fashion icon, Kim , stated.
She carried on, “I look back and there’s times when I remember I let my daughter [North] wear a red lip once for Christmas. Would I do that now? Probably not.”
The event in question took place in 2018, when North, who was just five years old at the time, wore a bold red lipstick to the family’s yearly Christmas Eve celebration.
Kim had previously encountered criticism from certain online communities for allowing her young daughter, North, to wear such vibrant lipstick.
“She picked it though! It’s a special occasion!” Kim tweeted at the time on X.
