IRAN LAUNCHES MISSILE ATTACK ON PAKISTAN

Iran started attacks in Pakistan on Tuesday, which it said were against the militant group Jaish al-Adl.

The official news agency IRNA said that missiles and drones were used in the attacks, which Pakistan did not admit right away.

Jaish al-Adl is a Sunni extremist group that works across the border in Pakistan with nuclear weapons.

The attacks happened at a time when there is a lot of tension in the region and a big risk of the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas spreading more.

On Monday night, Iran fired missiles at Iraq, which it said were at an Israeli “spy headquarters” near the US consulate in Erbil city in the northern semi-autonomous Kurdish region, and also hit targets linked to the Islamic State group in northern Syria.

Iraq said on Tuesday that the attack, which killed many civilians, was a “serious violation” of Iraq’s sovereignty.
