Hozier, one of today’s most popular singer-songwriters, is coming to Syracuse for the first time.
Hozier will perform on May 21, 2024, as part of his “Unreal Unearth” tour at the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater in Lakeview. Special guest Alison Russell will kick off the music program at 8 p.m.
Ticket sales will begin on Friday, November 17, at 12 p.m. through Live Nation. Prices may vary.
Hozier, whose full name is Andrew John Hozier-Byrne, is an Irish musician blending folk-rock with blues and soul. He is known for the Grammy-nominated 2013 hit “Take Me to Church” and recently released his third album, “Unreal Unearth,” featuring the single “Eat Your Young.”
On Spotify, Hozier’s monthly listenership exceeds an average of 28 million. For context, consider that fellow singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, who attracted a crowd of 18,000 fans to the Syracuse Amphitheater in previous summers, has an average of fewer than 21 million monthly listeners.
As a result, fans looking for tickets can check secondary marketplaces such as Vivid Seats, StubHub, MegaSeats, TicketNetwork, or SeatGeek.
Hozier had previously performed only once in 2019 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center in Verona, Central New York. In his 2024 tour, additional stops include Saratoga Springs at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) on May 19 and Bethel at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on July 27.
The Syracuse concert at the Empower FCU Amphitheater is the fifth announced concert for the 2024 Lakeview concert season. The venue, previously known as the Lakeview Amphitheater and St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview, recently underwent a $4 million, 7-year naming rights deal, renaming it to the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater.
