“On April 5th I lost a piece of me. I lost my Dad. I lost my best friend, my confidant, my Disney buddy, my rockstar, my greatest influence. I will miss him every single day. He was the strongest person I ever knew. Our family will never be the same without him. He was a shining light for so many people,” she said.

Heather adds, “He was a shining light for so many people. He did things I could only ever imagine doing. He lived life to the absolute fullest. He worked hard, loved hard, and played hard. He touched the lives of millions. I’ve always been SO proud of him! He gave me my gift of music and that is something I could never thank him enough for.”

She continued,”He was a gentle, compassionate, generous, driven, positive, intelligent, fun-loving man. He taught me so many things. Things I will carry with me until the day I die. Things that are engrained into my DNA. He will live FOREVER through his music and his legacy. But it will never be long enough. He loved me and my brothers more than anything and that love will be felt throughout the rest of our lives.”

She wraps up by saying, “Every time I pick up a microphone, I will think of him. Every time the stage lights hit my face, I will think of him, and I will think of him in everything I do. Thank you, Dad. I feel so lucky you were mine.”
