Donald Trump

Donald Trump received a huge number of cheers after attending UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. The 45th President of the United States attended the event to watch the 30th anniversary of the sport at ‘The World’s Most Famous Arena.’

Shortly before the main card began, Trump entered with his Secret Service agents. Despite the ongoing legal battles, a large number of people welcomed him when his face appeared on the big screen.

According to The Sun, immediately after the conclusion of the last preliminary fight of the night, Trump went to Kid Rock’s ‘American Badass’. Present fans chanted ‘USA, USA, USA’ and Trump appeared pleased with the positive reception.

Trump, who is a close friend of UFC president Dana White, has been regularly attending such sporting events in recent years. He was seated in VIP seats at UFC 287 and UFC 290, which took place in April and July this year.

White praised Trump, saying, “This guy is so good for me that it can’t be understood.”

“Since the day I met him, he has been a very good friend of mine.

“When we bought this company, it had such a bad stigma attached to it with this sport that we couldn’t even get venues to host it, they didn’t want us.

“Donald Trump saw something that could possibly be very big, and he is a fan of the sport, and he offered us to come to Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.

“He did a great deal with us, and we went there and did two events with him where he showed up for the first fight and stayed until the last fight.

“Think about that time; the Trump brand was way up here, the UFC brand was way down here, but he brought us in, and he was great.”

“After that day, whatever happened in my career, the first person to come and congratulate me was Donald Trump; whether it was a letter or once when we were on the cover of the New York Times.

“He said, ‘I always knew you were going to do this, Dana, congratulations.’ and he sent me a paper. He sent me a pen once while congratulating me.

“He always sends something to congratulate; a person who genuinely rejoices in your success.”

British Tom Aspinall was one of the stars of the show at UFC 295 on Saturday.

The 30-year-old fighter won the interim heavyweight title by defeating Russian opponent Sergei Pavlovich.

Reacting to his victory, he said, “If you ever get the chance to do something and you’re afraid to do it, then you should do it.

“These two and a half weeks have been absolutely insane.”

He further said, “He’s a scary dude.

“I’ve never been this scared in my life, but I also have the power, and I believed in myself.

“I’ve worked extremely hard for years, and no one has worked harder than my dad, so this belt is dedicated to him.”
