Savannah city is honoring both current and former military members with its annual Veterans Day parade on Saturday.

The Savannah Veterans Day Parade will kick off at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. It will start at the intersection of Abercorn and Gwinnett streets. The staging area will be between Gwinnett Street and Park Avenue.

Advertisement Habersham and Drayton streets were closed at 6 a.m.

Vehicles found in no-park zones will be towed at the owner’s expense.

As part of the tribute, Brighton Street in the city will be adorned with those flags that once draped the caskets of fallen soldiers.”
