Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt has found a new sisterhood!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter has joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College.
In a new video from Essence, the 18-year-old student is seen introducing herself to her Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. She energetically dances in front of an enthusiastic crowd while sharing her introduction.
Zahara joined the historic Mu Pi chapter of the black sorority at Spelman College. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded in 1908, and the Mu Pi chapter was established in 1979.

Zahara began her undergraduate career at HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) in 2022, and in August, she was seen moving in with her 48-year-old mother.
The international actress announced her daughter’s plan to attend university with a celebratory Instagram post a few weeks before the start date. Jolie shared a snapshot of her daughter with fellow students and said, ‘Zahara with her Spelman sisters!’
Jolie wrote, ‘Congratulations to all the new students starting this year.’
Jolie added, ‘Being a member of the family as the new Spelman girl is a very special place of honor and respect.'”
At 59, Pitt later specifically told people that it is ‘actually beautiful’ that his daughter will be attending Spelman College.
During Zahara’s move-in, Jolie and Zahara met with Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, the president of Spelman College, and Dr. Darryl Holloman, the vice president for student affairs. They marked the occasion by sharing photos on Instagram.
In the first photo, Jolie posed with Dr. Campbell on the Spelman campus. In a video captured by Holloman, both women were engaged in conversation. When Jolie was asked how she feels about becoming a Spelman mom, she responded, ‘I’m going to start crying! I haven’t started crying.
The university president jokingly said that the upcoming program would have ‘a lot of crying’ and teased that it was designed to bring ‘intentional [tears] – to bring it out.
I heard it was a big night last night,’ Jolie responded. ‘I’m holding it together.
“Jolie’s twin children, 15-year-old Vivienne and Knox, along with 17-year-old Shiloh, 19-year-old Pax, and 22-year-old Maddox, are also with Pitt.”
